API Terms of Use

Terms of use and acceptable-use policy for the Noon Barbari developer API. These are in addition to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Scope

These terms govern programmatic access to the Noon Barbari API (the “API”) via an API key, including the REST endpoints under api.noonbarbari.xyz/v1 and any authenticated use of the MCP server. They are in addition to, and incorporate, the Noon Barbari Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By generating or using an API key you accept these terms.

2. Accounts, keys & security

You are responsible for all activity under your keys.

  • An API key identifies you and is tied to your account and API plan.
  • Keep keys secret. Do not embed them in client-side code, public repositories, mobile apps, or anywhere a third party could extract them. The API is intended for server-to-server use.
  • We show the full key secret once, at creation, and store only a hash. If a key is exposed, rotate it from your dashboard immediately. We may revoke a key we reasonably believe is compromised or abused.

3. Plans, quotas & fair use

  • Access is sold as fixed monthly plans (Developer / Startup / Scale), each with a monthly call quota and a per-minute rate limit. Free-tier and trial keys have smaller quotas.
  • Quotas are enforced with a hard limit: once the monthly quota is reached, further calls return HTTP 429 until the next billing period or a plan upgrade. There is no automatic overage billing.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent quotas or rate limits (e.g. by rotating many keys, sharing keys across unrelated parties, or distributed evasion). We may throttle, suspend, or terminate keys used to evade limits.

4. Acceptable use — you may

  • Build applications, research, dashboards, alerts, and internal tools on top of the API's indicator, DCA, overfitting/robustness, dataset, and backtest endpoints.
  • Cache and display API results to your own users, with attribution to Noon Barbari where the data is presented as a primary feature.

5. Prohibited use — you may not

  • Redistribute or resell the raw data in bulk as a competing dataset or API. (The curve-fitting study is separately available as a public one-off download under its own terms; the API is not a bulk-export channel.)
  • Present API output as personalised financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice, or in any way that implies Noon Barbari is advising an end user (see §7).
  • Use the API to place live orders, move funds, or drive automated live trading. The API is for research and backtesting only and returns no live-execution capability.
  • Reverse-engineer, probe, or attempt to derive non-public model internals, or use the API to build a substantially similar competing service.
  • Overload, disrupt, or attack the service (DoS, scraping beyond your quota, fuzzing for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure).
  • Use the API in violation of applicable law or sanctions, or from an embargoed jurisdiction, or to facilitate unlawful activity.

6. Data accuracy & availability

  • API responses are provided “as is”, on a best-effort basis. Market data, indicator values, and computed statistics may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
  • We may change, deprecate, or remove endpoints. Breaking changes ship under a new version path (e.g. /v2); we aim to give reasonable notice and a deprecation window, but do not guarantee indefinite availability of any endpoint.
  • We do not guarantee uptime unless a separate SLA is agreed in writing.

7. No financial advice · past performance

  • The API returns informational and analytical output only. It does not constitute financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice, and Noon Barbari is not a licensed adviser.
  • Backtested and historical results do not predict future performance. Overfitting and robustness scores are diagnostics, not guarantees. You and your end users are solely responsible for any decisions made using the API.
  • If you surface API output to end users, you must not remove or contradict these disclaimers.

8. Suspension & termination

  • We may suspend or terminate API access for breach of these terms, non-payment, suspected abuse or compromise, or where required by law. Where practical we will give notice.
  • You may cancel your API plan at any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period. Free-tier keys may be revoked if unused or abused.

9. Fees & billing

API plans are billed separately from any Noon Barbari app subscription, monthly or annually as selected at checkout, via our payment processor. Taxes may apply. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Noon Barbari is not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the API, and total liability is limited to the fees you paid for API access in the preceding period.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified via the developer dashboard or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
